The journey begins...

Benny Dunn was born and raised in Andalusia, AL.  He is 59 years old and has been married to his wife Charlee for 37 years.  He and Charlee have two adult sons, Jacob and Jeffery, and two grandchildren--Cassidy is 13, and Brayden is 2.  He has a wonderful family and many friends.  His friends have an opportunity to personally express their love and concern during a time of great need in Benny's life.
Benny was diagnosed with a genetic disorder known as Hemochromatosis in 2002.  The many effects of this disease have caused Benny to be unable to work or enjoy the daily activities we all take for granted.  The organ damage associated with this disorder has caused Benny to need a liver transplant.
His doctors believe he is a good candidate for transplant and he has recently been placed on the transplant list.  His family does have medical insurance, but the co-pays and large deductibles associated with his surgery are very costly, and after his recovery he will require lifelong medications that will be expensive.
The Benny Dunn Benefit was organized by friends and family that are striving to lessen the physical, emotional, and financial impact during this difficult time so he may focus on healing.  Please consider making a donation which will help with the great financial burden on Benny and his family.
This family has already experienced the power of prayer, and they know the opportunity for a life-saving transplant is a direct result of those prayers.  Continue to pray for Benny and his family during the long process of waiting for surgery, the surgery itself, and the recovery.
There is no way to express the gratitude and appreciation for the help you may provide.

Much love,
The friends and family of Benny Dunn
